Registration this year will be on the Internet. The registration fee is $18 per Scout. Several classes have an additional fee. (Refer to the list of merit badges.) There is a $3 registration fee for adult leaders. Scouts may NOT register as a troop; each Scout must register separately. Scouts may register to be in a class together by choosing the same section and time for a merit badge.
Note: If you do not have access to the Internet or do not wish to register with a credit or debit card, you may register in person at the Harman Continuing Education Building on BYU campus.
To register on the internet, click on the registration button below. You will be asked to create a login for the Division of Continuing Education. (If you have one from a previous program, you may enter that and your personal information will appear.) Once you have entered the required information, you will be guided through the registration process. Please note that if you are an adult registering for a Scout, you need to enter the information of the Scout. EACH PERSON MUST HAVE A SEPARATE LOGIN AND REGISTRATION. Adults registering for adult leader classes will go through the same procedure and will see the information to register for classes once they have created a login.
During the registration process, a Scout may register for up to three merit badges. Each merit badge will have sections listed as well as times. All Scouts who register for the same section and time will be in the same class. For example, if individual Scouts from a troop register in Art, section C, 9:00–10:15 a.m., BYU campus, they will be in the same class together. If a section is full, another section must be selected. A Scout may also return to the registration page by October 9, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. to change his selection to a different section, merit badge, or campus, as long as there is still space available in that section. Please DO NOT call and ask to have Scouts placed in the same class together, as this will not be possible.
Adult leaders will see a list of all of the classes available to them. Leaders may select as many classes as they would like to attend for the $3 registration fee per class. If you have difficulty registering, please call (801) 422–8925.
