Teacher Expectations

When we teach effectively the gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the standard works and the words of the living prophets we:



  1. Teach by the spirit
  2. Help participants develop a habit of daily scripture study
  3. Help participants identify and understand doctrines found in the scriptures and words of the prophets and apply principles into their lives in ways that lead to personal conversion
  4. Help participants learn to explain, share, and testify basic doctrines and principles of the gospel
  5. Emphasize and support seminary, scripture mastery, and the EFY theme.

As EFY teachers we focus on the learner. This applies to both Session Directors and Teachers. Although large classes, there are many possibilities for participation. We believe that when teaching is centered on the learning of the student rather than on the learning of the teacher, the spirit is present and both the teacher and learner are edified.
