EFY Health Counselor

Applications for 2010 EFY Health Counselor Positions will be available starting November 1, 2009. Please check back with us then to apply for an interview.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist program participants needing medical care
• Interact with the youth
• Help youth maintain their physical and spiritual well-being
• Work closely with the Coordinators and Building Counselors at the EFY sessions
• Travel may be involved. ** If you apply for a travel team and are hired, your travel expense is paid by EFY. You need to be able to travel to each location **

The pay is $475.00 per week.

Requirements

• Be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in good standing
• Must have experience working in health-related fields OR be certified as an RN, LPN, EMT, CNA, or First Responder by May 1, 2010
• Have the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Be quick to recognize and react to situations in a calm manner
• Get along well with associates
• Be teachable, approachable, and accountable
• Must abide by the Especially For Youth counselor dress and appearance standards
• Must attend one of two formal one-day training seminars prior to starting duties as an EFY Health Counselor
• Must be 21 years of age by May 1, 2010

Strongly Preferred

• Experience working in a health facility strongly preferred
• Returned missionaries strongly preferred for male applicants
