Application period closed

Begins: September 5, 2012 – 9:00 a.m. MST
Ends:     January 9, 2013 – 11:59 p.m. MST

  • Browse the EFY website for 2013 theme announcements, general policies and information, session locations, and dates (when they become available).
  • This process, very similar to enrolling in a session, gives the applicant a priority number, allowing him/her to enroll in the priority period. Be sure to go through all the pages in this process until you come to the end and receive a confirmation number. Record this number for reference, if needed.
  • Session choices, parental release forms, and payments will be accepted during the Priority Registration period.
  • You MUST fill out an information application and get a priority number to be eligible for Priority Registration.
  • If you complete a priority application request and later change your mind, there is no obligation to register for a session. Remember, completing a priority registration request requires no payment.
  • If you do get a priority number and do not use it during the Priority Registration period, you may still enroll in a session during the Open Enrollment Period later in the season.
  • Everyone is invited to participate. You need not have attended EFY before to participate in the Application Period which qualifies you for Priority Registration.

Begins: January 11, 2013 – 9:00 a.m. MST
Ends:    January 31, 2013 – 10:00 a.m. MST

  • ALL Priority Number Applications will be divided randomly into priority groups.
  • When your application is selected, you will receive an e–mail indicating that you can re–enter (Screenshot) the registration system and enroll (Screenshot) in any available session of your choice (step–by–step instructions).
    • List a roommate choice (Screenshot), if desired (with a group link number).
    • Complete the parental release (Screenshot), medical information, and accept the standards agreement (Screenshot). Note the statement on the agreement: As the parent/legal guardian, I acknowledge that I will be financially responsible for any damage (lost keys, etc.) incurred by my child during participation in a BYU Continuing Education program.
    • Pay for EFY.
    • Print out and keep your registration confirmation page (Screenshot). Note: This registration confirmation number replaces your application confirmation number—keep and use it.
    • At the bottom of your confirmation page, if you would like to list three others to be in your session, click the box and list them here. (They must have already applied during the Priority Number Application Period.) When you receive your email telling you to go in and register, call these others, and tell them that they can now go in and register. They will not receive notification through our system).
  • Once you have been selected, you may register and change or modify your enrollment at any time (Screenshot) up to two weeks before the session begins.
Register Now

Open Enrollment starts:
  — February 1, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. MST for Stay-at-Home programs
  — February 4, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. MST for Non-BYU Provo sessions
  — February 5, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. MST for BYU-Provo sessions

Refer to Step-by-Step Registration Instructions under Priority Registration Period tab, if desired.

As always, anyone can register for any available session.

  • Remember to keep your confirmation number;  print the confirmation page!
  • Log back into your account in a few weeks and confirm the date you selected;  this will prevent last–minute surprises.

If the session you want is filled and you're trying to link your youth up with a friend that is in a full session, you have two options:

  1. You can choose another session with 2 openings and have the friend transfer to the open session (at no charge).
  2. You can wait and watch, hoping to find a spot in the friend's session. While openings often become available in full sessions, it is a risk you must decide to take.
Open Registration begins February 1

Know these terms:
Application—Puts your name in the random selection pool when Priority Registration opens in January.

Priority Registration—After you’ve submitted your application and received your confirmation number, you can go online when notified by e-mail and choose your session, complete the parental release form, and pay.

Open Enrollment—Registration for anyone who has not previously enrolled.

Inviting Others—Allows up to three other individuals to register at the same time you do in the priority registration period. This does not link anyone as a roommate, simply helps you register earlier and possibly get into the same session. Not the same as roommate link.

Roommate Link—You can request one other person to be your roommate. This request is made creating unique link (can be a phone number) entering this number, and your requested roommate’s name. Every effort is made in honoring roommate requests; however, they are not guaranteed. See Roommate Links for further details.

Registration—Remember registration (adds, transfers, withdrawals) closes 2 weeks before the start date of the session at 9:59 a.m. Mountain Daylight Savings Time.

Remember it is your responsibility to confirm that your registration is complete and accurate.
