Many questions can be answered by our General Information page on our website. Please click here view that page.
Due to the high volume of people logging into our system at one time, it may take hours to log into the Division of Continuing Education registration page. Thank you for being patient. When you wait in line to log in, you will see the average wait time per person and the total number of people waiting in line. Please remember, the wait time is not YOUR wait time, but the average for each person in line as stated above.
If you are idle in the registration page for 30 minutes, you will automatically be timed out of the registration page and will have to wait in line again to log back in. Also, if you are logged into the same account in more than one window, and any of the accounts are left idle for 30 minutes, all of the sessions you are logged into will time you out (even if you are actively registering someone in one of the windows). You will then have to wait in line to log in again and start over. If the spot you were registering for is gone when you get to log in again, unfortunately, someone else registered for it and you will have to wait to see if a spot opens up later on for you to register.
Please click here for the EFY registration process. Please click on the tabs for information on each step.
If you registered your son/daughter and then found out they were registered under the wrong gender, it means the incorrect gender was selected while registering. Unfortunately, because the registrations are separated by gender, we cannot transfer him/her over to a spot in their correct gender. To register for a spot with the correct gender, you need to withdraw, change the personal info, and re–register. If the gender you need is full in the session you were in, you'll need to keep checking back for an open spot. You may click here to see available spots.
We would love every youth to have their first preference in where and when they go to EFY. However, because we are limited to how many participants may attend each session, we realize this is not possible. If there are not any spots available that you can attend, you will have to continue to check our Available Spaces page to see if another participant of the same gender has transferred out, or has withdrawn, from the session(s) you desire. If you see an open spot, you need to click on the “click here to go to Registration page” link at the top of the Available Spaces page and login to try to get that open spot.
Spots do come up from time to time, so please don't give up looking. Also, remember to refresh your page to see current spots.
Click here and then view the information under “Confirmation Date/Confirmation Number”.
This information is coming and will be on our website in March 2010.
No, we only take roommate requests and each person may have one roommate request (remember, the two individuals MUST request each other). Please see our General Information page and look under “Counselor Groups” and “Roommates”
To add, delete, or change your roommate preferences, you will need to login to your account, click “edit/transfer”, click on “housing” and then change your roommate preferences. All roommate information needs to be edited before registration closes for the session you are registered for (Monday, 9:00 a.m., 7 days before your session starts). Our office does not look at the roommate information until the session's registration closes. Please see our General Information page for further information on Roommates.
No. Registrations are done online. Please click here to register.
You will need your Personal Information (if you do not already have an account):
Roommate information if requesting a roommate:
Parental Release Information:
Payment Information:
To be assigned with a roommate request, roommates must be in the same age group and of the same gender. If the cousin's in another age group, you will not be able to be roommates. If the cousin turns 16 between May 1st and December 31st of the current year, he/she can choose which age group to be in. However, if he/she chooses the older age group and you are in the younger age group, you cannot be roommates. He/She would have to choose to be in the younger group when registering to be considered for roommates. Please see our General Information page and view “Age Groups” and “Roommates”
The Financial Aid status can be checked through the Especially for Youth office or by logging in and checking your voucher status”. Please click here to see our Financial Aid Information page for more information.

Unfortunately, we do not hold spots for those who have applied for financial aid but have not yet been awarded. Either register for a session that does have availability or keep checking back on the website to see if a spot becomes available in the desired session.

Transferring from one session to another simply changes your registration to a new session and applies your registration fees to it. There is no additional charge for transferring sessions.
Withdrawing from a session will drop you from it, and you will no longer be enrolled in any EFY session. You will receive a tuition refund minus a $25 non–refundable withdrawal fee. This fee will be charged for each withdrawal from a session. If you accidentally withdraw from a session, or if you withdraw and re–enroll (instead of transferring), you will not receive a refund for the withdrawal fee.
Yes. All withdrawals and transfers must be completed by 8:59 a.m. on the Monday one week before the session begins. (For example, if your session begins on June 8, you will need to withdraw or transfer by 8:59 a.m. on June 1.) This is the same time that registration closes for each session. After this time we will not accept any new enrollments, transfers to or from a session, or withdrawals from a session. Please take the time to find out when your deadline is and write it down, as we are unable to make exceptions for those who misunderstand the time/date for the deadline.
No. Overnight EFY sessions and Stay-at-Home Programs are two different types of programs, and therefore you cannot transfer from one to another. You will need to withdraw from your current EFY session, thus incurring the non–refundable $25 withdrawal fee, and enroll in the Stay-at-Home Program of your choice (or vice–versa).
(***PLEASE NOTE: If you select “Withdraw” instead of “Transfer,” you will not be transferred. You will simply be removed from the session and refunded your money, minus a $25 withdrawal fee. This fee is non–refundable, even if you withdraw by accident, so be sure to choose the transfer option.)
If you have any trouble with the transfer process, call the DCE Registration Office at 801–422–8925. They will be able to answer any questions or complete the transfer for a $10 fee. See also our transfer section.
You may allow someone to take your place at the session and receive a partial refund. Your replacement must be of the same gender and age group. He or she must take to the session a signed note from your parents/guardian stating that he or she is authorized to take your place. He or she will then need to fill out a walk–on registration form and pay EFY tuition plus a $25 walk–on fee. You will then receive a tuition refund minus a nonrefundable $50 late withdrawal fee. Your replacement will not be allowed to attend without providing a signed note and paying full tuition.
Unfortunately, no. We are obligated to pay each campus before the session begins for any housing, food, supplies, and other accommodations used at the session. Even if you only attend part of the week, we are under contract to pay the same as if you were there the entire week. Therefore, we cannot offer any refunds if you miss part of a session.
Upon your withdrawal from a session (before the last week before it begins), the refund will automatically be credited back to the card charged for the registration. It should appear on the account within one to three weeks. If the card used to pay no longer exists, the refund will still be automatically credited to the account. You will need to contact your bankcard provider in order to transfer this credit to an active account. We cannot give refunds to a credit card other than the one which was charged.
Yes, the hair–length standard for males is strictly enforced. Participants who do not comply will not be allowed to check in to their session.
Yes. Male participants must have their hair cut above the collar, and part of the ears must be visible without altering their hair. This means that bangs that are swept to the side or hair that is tucked behind the ears or styled to look like it doesn’t cover the ears are unacceptable. However, if at least part of the ear is visible without altering the hair, your son will be allowed to attend.
No. The $25 withdrawal fee is nonrefundable. If you wish to transfer sessions, you must use the transfer option in your account. If you withdraw from a session and then re–enroll, it is NOT considered a transfer; and you will be charged the $25 withdrawal fee. This fee will not be refunded. Please also see our Transfer Section for further clarification.
For those who sent feedback, we appreciate your suggestions and have not disregarded them.
