Spokane East Washington Program

Best of Especially for Youth is a BYU Continuing Education program designed to help youth strengthen their testimonies, read and study the scriptures, increase their self‐respect, gain a desire to serve, seek the saving ordinances of the gospel, and deal with today’s challenges. All youth, member and nonmember, ages 14 to 18 are invited to attend. LDS standards must be observed while attending.

Special Notes:
Sunday dress standard. Please bring your scriptures. No video or audio recording allowed. We recommend early registration due to limited seating and high demand for this program.

Cost:
$12 per youth (includes dinner)
$7 per adult leader (includes dinner)

How To Register:

  • Preregistration ends Friday, November 6, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. mountain time.
  • After November 6, tickets must be purchased at the door on a space–available basis only.
  • Ward or stake leaders are encouraged to coordinate group registrations for their youth. However, individual registrations can be made also.

  2. Telephone: Call 801-422-8925 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (mountain time) on weekdays and ask the operator for the Spokane East Best of EFY. Payment must be made at the time of the call by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

  3. Mail-in: If you must pay by check, please mail in your registration. Send a check, payable to BYU—CE, along with your name, address, daytime phone number, and number of youth and adult tickets requested to: Coeur d’Alene Best of EFY, PO Box 21507, 295 Harman Continuing Education Building, Provo, UT 84602-1507.

1:30–2:00 p.m. Check-in
2:00–2:10 p.m. Welcome and Introduction
2:10–3:00 p.m. Michael Allred, Seminary Teacher “Stand Ye in Holy Places”The scriptures are a collection of fulfilled prophecy. We will review several of these scripture blocks then look to our future with confidence.
3:00–3:10 p.m. Break
3:10–4:00 p.m. Elizabeth Craig, Continuing Education Looking for the Good in OthersBy improving ourselves and the good things we do in our lives, we can bear testimony of the Savior and emphasize the good in people.
4:00–4:10 p.m. Break
4:10–5:00 p.m. Ron Bartholomew, Institute Instructor The Power of Scriptures in Our Daily LivesThe scriptures are full of stories about people who exhibited great power to win life’s battles.
5:00–6:00 p.m. Dinner
6:00–9:00 p.m. Dance – Spokane East Stake Center – Sunday Dress

Refunds

Refund requests must be made in writing, with tickets attached, and received by Friday, November 6, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. A $10 processing fee applies to every group refund request. Refunds requested after November 6, 2009, will not be honored.
