BEST OF ESPECIALLY FOR YOUTH is a BYU Continuing Education program designed to help and encourage youth to strengthen their testimonies, study the scriptures, seek the saving ordinances of the gospel, serve others, and meet today’s challenges. All youth–members and friends of other faiths ages 12 to 18–are invited to attend. LDS standards must be observed while attending.

How To Register:

  • Registration ends Friday, October 16, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. mountain time.
  • After October 16, tickets will have to be purchased at the door on a space–available basis.
  • Ward or stake leaders are encouraged to coordinate group registrations for their youth. However, individual registrations can also be made.

  2. By telephone: Call 801–422–8925 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. mountain time to register. Payment must be made at the time of the call by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. If you must pay by check, please mail in your registration.

  3. Mail–in: If you must pay by check, please mail in your registration. Send a check (payable to BYU-CE) along with your name, address, daytime phone number, the number of tickets requested to: Portland Best of EFY, PO Box 21507, 295 Harman Continuing Education Building, Provo, UT 84602.

Program Schedule

2:30–3:00 p.m. Registration at the Door (if space is available)
3:00–3:10 p.m. Welcome and Introduction
3:10–4:00 p.m. Ron Bartholomew The Power of Scriptures in Your Daily Life.The scriptures are full of stories about people who exhibited great power to win life’s battles.
4:10–5:00 p.m. Scott Anderson The Perfect Man.Following the Savior’s perfect example will help each of us find greater strength and more meaningful relationships.
5:00–5:45 p.m. Dinner
6:00–6:50 p.m. Jack Marshall The Mind, Media, and Satan’s High–Tech Temptations.The computer, TV, iPods, cell phones, DVDs, etc., are great blessings, but Satan is exploiting these devices to corrupt and destroy testimonies.
7:00–10:00 p.m. Dance for youth 14–18 (12- and 13-year-olds need to be picked up between 6:50 and 7:00 p.m.)

Refunds

Refunds requests must be made in writing, with tickets attached, and received by October 16, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. A $10 processing fee applies to every group refund request. Refunds requested after October 16, 2009, will not be honored. To request a refund, please send tickets and explanation to:
