This application is for college level courses only and is not applicable to high school level courses. Grant and Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail by the end of the month in which applications are due. Notification will also be sent to those not receiving awards. The most frequent reasons for applicants not receiving financial aid are (a) they do not properly follow the directions for submitting the application; (b) they do not submit all parts of the application and transcripts to our office in time to meet the deadline; and (c) they do not meet the GPA requirements. BYU, BYU-Hawaii, and BYU-Idaho students, as well as international student visa's, are not eligible to receive financial aid through Independent Study. Federal regulation on financial aid and other restrictions imposed on these scholarship and grant funds disqualify university day-school students and international students from consideration for awards. Award recipients can apply for consecutive awards but must complete their awarded scholarship/grant course before they reapply. Please mail completed application and materials to: |
