- College athletes from schools other than BYU are not allowed to enroll in BYU Independent Study university-level courses. This restriction applies to students who are currently eligible as well as those seeking eligibility to participate in any collegiate athletic program (e.g. NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA).
High school student athletes may enroll in any NCAA approved high school-level courses.
- Students enrolled in university courses are required to take their exams at a certified college testing center.
- This secure form can only be used for bank card or credit card purchases (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover). If you wish to pay for your course(s) with a check or money order, complete this form, print it out, and send it with payment (in U.S. dollars) to the following address: BYU Independent Study; 206 Harman Building; Box 21514; Provo, UT 84602; USA.
- If you are a student living outside of the US, an extra mailing fee will be charged on your credit card of $15.00 for Canada and Mexico and $20.00 for everywhere else. This fee pays for DHL express shipping of a manual or materials (not textbooks) and any other letters we send during your enrollment of the course. - To have your materials expressed, please do not use this form to register. Instead, call 1-800-914-8931 to register and request expressed shipping.
- If you will be using Independent Study credit to satisfy high school or university graduation requirements, please view our graduation deadlines.
- If you have a disability and are considering enrollment, you are invited to discuss both the program requirements and available assistance prior to registration.
