Standard Transcript Program

The Standard Transcript Program is a traditional high school program that satisfies basic high school requirements for admission to most colleges. It also prepares the student to take the ACT or SAT exams.

Requirements:A student in the BYU Independent Study Standard High School Program must complete a minimum of three (3) courses every six (6) months to remain in the program. In order to complete the program in four years, a student should complete at least six (6) courses every six (6) months.

Note: Although most colleges accept credits from the BYU Independent Study High School Program, the student should always consult with his or her individual college before enrolling.

Elective courses are included in the curriculum to provide each student with the opportunity to explore areas of interest not included in the core curriculum. Choose elective courses carefully.
