Prerequisite:

INTDE 41 (Interior Design, Part 1).

Description

This is the second course in a two-part interior design series (INTDE 41 and INTDE 43). This course covers architectural terminology, housing styles, furniture construction, furniture styles, home accessories, and lighting. 7 lessons, 7 assignment submissions (6 Speedback assignments, 1 instructor-graded assignment); proctored final exam.

Notes:

Students will need a #2 pencil; clear plastic ruler; scissors; glue; several sheets of white, lightweight (typing) paper; several sheets of 8 1/2 " x 11" cardstock (preferably gray or white); a few sheets of black construction paper; 1 colored sheet of construction paper; a black fine- or medium-tipped marker; several colored marking pens, colored pencils, crayons, or watercolors; red, yellow, blue, black, and white Tempra paints; 1–2 small paintbrushes; 2–3 magazines with pictures of rooms that can be cut out; catalog listing home accessory prices; catalog listing light fixture prices; and samples of carpet, drapery and upholstery fabric, paint chips, etc.
