ART 51 — Calligraphy

Description

This course is an introduction to basic calligraphy skills. Students will learn four letter styles: sans serif B-point, Celtic, Gothic, and Italic. 8 lessons, 8 assignment submissions (6 Speedback assignments, 2 instructor-graded assignments); proctored final exam.

Notes:

This course IS NOT DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THE STUDENT'S HANDWRITING (see ART 53). Students must furnish one dip pen holder; speedball points B-2, B-3, C-2, C-3; at least one-half ream of white bond paper; a soft rag; and a box for materials.
