What should I do with my contract?

SIGN AND RETURN YOUR CONTRACT — Your signature is the only one we need! Please sign the highlighted line and return the TOP copy. The bottom copy is yours. ***IF you do not return the top copy of your contract to 123 HCEB on time, you will not get paid until the next pay date. Special checks will be much more difficult to process!***

What is the cancel/carry policy?

CANCEL/CARRY—If your class enrollment is fewer than 15 students for an undergraduate class or fewer than 10 students for a graduate class, the projected honorarium may be significantly reduced! Please call Karen at 422-2873 with questions.

Can I have a T.A.?

T.A./GRADER FUNDS—If you have at least 40 students in your class, Evening Classes has funds to transfer to your academic department for teaching assistants UPON REQUEST. If you are interested, please have the department secretary contact Karen at 422-2873 for more information.

Where should I go if I have Honor Code Referrals?

HONOR CODE REFERRALS—If you have a student in violation of any part of the Honor Code in your class, please contact the HCO at 422-2847 to submit a referral. Be sure YOU, the instructor, are in accordance with all parts of the Honor Code as well.

How do I get texts/suppliles/rolls/grades for my class?

TEXTS/SUPPLIES/ROLLS/GRADES—Texts and supplies should be obtained through your academic department. Rolls and Grades should be available through Route Y. If you have any problems, first be sure you are listed as the instructor on AIM, and then contact OIT at 422-4000.

What is the final exams policy?

FINAL EXAMS—In compliance with university policy, we do not allow final exams to be given early. If you have a conflict arise, please contact Karen Cottle at 422-2873.

Where should I park?

PARKING—Part-time faculty are eligible for limited benefits that include campus parking. According to university policy, student instructors are not eligible. For more information, contact the Traffic Office at 422-3906.
