Apply to Teach
We are always pleased to receive applications that offer new perspectives and give variety to Brigham Young University Continuing Education programs. If you wish to apply to teach for the 2011 Campus Education Week program, we must receive the following items in our office by September 17, 2010 (the later paragraphs provide additional detail):
The application includes a two-page Ecclesiastical Authorization and Release Form. The release form authorizes BYU to contact your ecclesiastical leader regarding employment eligibility. It also allows you to indicate your acceptance to abide by the BYU Honor Code and the Dress and Grooming Standards. Download Application (in PDF format, to download the Adobe Reader, click here.) To assist us in the evaluation process, please send titles and outlines of your proposed classes along with a video of one of your presentations (using a VHS or VHS-C tape, or a DVD). The video does not need to be a professional taping; we just need to observe your teaching style, how you approach your topic, and audience reaction. Presentation skill, educational qualification, and professional experience are major considerations in our evaluation of prospective faculty members. Applications received after September 17, 2010, will be considered for the 2012 program. Program dates are August 16–20, 2010, and August 15–19, 2011. Applications should be mailed to Campus Education Week, 283 Harman Continuing Education Building, BYU, Provo, UT 84602. As we review the faculty and curriculum needs for future programs, we will be happy to consider your application and proposed topics. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to hearing from you. |
