Best of Especially for Youth is a CES Continuing Education program designed to help youth strengthen their testimonies, study the scriptures, seek the saving ordinances of the gospel, serve others, and meet today's challenges. All youth-members and friends of other faiths ages 12 to 18-are invited to attend. LDS standards must be observed while attending.

Special Notes:
Sunday dress standard. Please bring your scriptures, note cards, and a pen. No video or audio recording allowed. We recommend early registration due to limited seating and high demand for this program. For more information call CES Continuing Education Programs, 800-992-1014

How To Register: (SOLD OUT)

  • Preregistration ends Friday, March 7, 2008, at 5:00 p.m.
  • After March 7, tickets will have to be purchased at the door on a space available basis.
  • Ward or stake leaders are encouraged to coordinate group registrations for their youth. However, individual registrations can also be made.

Registration Options:

Cost: $5 for youth (tickets not required for adult leaders)

  2. By telephone: Call (801) 422-8925. Phone registration will be open between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. MT on weekdays and ask the operator for the Utah Valley Best of EFY.

  3. By Mail: If you must pay by check, please mail in your registration. Send a check along with your name, address, daytime phone number, and number of tickets requested to: Utah Valley BEFY, 295 Harman Continuing Education Building, PO Box 21507, BYU, Provo UT 84602-1507.

Program Schedule

9:00-9:10 a.m. Welcome and Introduction
9:10-10:00 a.m. Scott Robley Positive Thinking vs. Mental Misery Life is full of challenges and disappointments. This class will discuss the power of positive thinking in maintaining a happy life.
10:10-11:00 a.m. Chad Kerby Having Charity When You Don't Feel Charitable Keeping our focus on the Savior through challenging times.
11:10-noon Matthew Richardson Feelings This lesson discusses how our feelings influence our behavior and how the Spirit works through our ability to feel appropriately.

Refunds

Refunds requests must be made in writing, with tickets attached, and received by Friday, March 7, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.. A $10 processing fee applies to every group refund request. Refunds requested after March 7, will not be honored. To request a refund, please send tickets and explanation to:
