Saxophone

Enrollment is limited to 18 saxophone players

Perform in a concert band, jazz ensemble, orchestra, or ensemble (all by assignment). Be involved in chamber music, theory, and music literature classes. Receive assistance in proper techniques during class. Instrumentalists should be able to play eighth-note scales (quarter = 144) in keys up to five flats (see ranges below) and be able to sight-read in 2/3, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, and 9/8.
