On-Campus Housing

This year we are offering the regular on-campus dorm housing, as well as some spaces in the Wyview housing just north of campus.

ON-CAMPUS DORM HOUSING

You must be a full conference participant to register for campus housing. It includes Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, April 25–28, 2012 (no meals are included). Please note: Housing is NOT available before or after the above dates. Check-in is after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25 and check-out is before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28.

You may select a roommate when you register, as well as link groups of up to six people in on-campus housing. Registration for group housing is available until March 30, 2012, and all housing registration ends on April 13, 2012.

Housing assignments will be mailed or e-mailed after April 9. Any remaining housing spots available after the April 13 deadline will be sold on Wednesday, April 25.

To link yourself with a roommate or a group of up to six people, you will need a group link number. A group link number is a 10-digit number (usually the phone number of one of the participants). The same number must be used by each participant in a group. The BYU Housing Office will attempt to place all linked participants near each other in BYU housing. Please read further details below on selecting roommates and linking a group.

Roommates—You may request a roommate (each room is double occupancy) by providing your roommate’s name and a group link number when you register (both are needed in order for the computer to link you together). Your roommate must also register and provide your name and the same group link number with her registration. Each person must submit a separate registration. Providing the linking information does not hold a housing space for someone who has not yet registered for the full conference and housing. If you do not select a roommate, one will be assigned to fill the vacancy.

Group Housing—You may link together as a group (as many as six people in three double-occupancy rooms) by selecting a group link number to be used with each individual registration. When each person registers, she will need to provide the name of the person she wants as a roommate and the group link number. Each person must register individually and use the same linking number. Doing this will identify and link the registrations belonging to one group.

We cannot take requests for a specific residence hall, but groups will all be housed in the same building in adjacent rooms. If you have an odd-numbered group (three or five people), an additional roommate will be assigned to fill the vacancy. The deadline for purchasing group housing is March 30, 2012. No group requests will be accepted after this date.

Please read the following before registering for housing:

• All rooms are double occupancy (no single rooms available) with central bath facilities on each floor.
• We cannot guarantee housing in a specific building. Housing will be available in:
• Helaman Halls
• Heritage Halls
• Infants and children under 16 are not allowed in the residence halls.
• All beds are three to four feet off the floor (to accommodate student storage). Since bed setups cannot be changed, alternate housing is recommended if the bed height poses a problem.
• Check-in is Wednesday, April 25, from 3:00–11:00 p.m.
• Check-out is Saturday, April 28, before 9:00 a.m.
• Indicate special needs (e.g., wheelchair, near bathroom) when you register by phone, or click the link below to send special housing requests.
• Bed and bath linen are provided.
• You should receive your room and building assignment by mail or email by Wednesday, April 18. If you do not receive your information by that time, please call the Housing Office at 801-422-5671.

WYVIEW HOUSING OPTION

$335 + $100 refundable deposit, two-bedroom apartment, maximum three people
$375 + $100 refundable deposit, three-bedroom apartment, maximum four people
One person in group pays for housing and gives names of roommates when registering (can add/change names through April 13); BYU Housing will not provide additional occupants.

BYU Housing provides each apartment with enough of the following for three or four guests:

• Pillows
• Linens
• Blankets
• Towels

Each apartment includes:

• Living room area
• Kitchen
• Fridge
• Stove
• Microwave
• Kitchen table and chairs
• Couch, chair and love seat
• Cable TV hook-up (no TV provided)
• Ethernet hook-up

Apartments have bedrooms with twin-sized bunk beds or single twin bed(s), dresser drawers, and a desk. Please be aware that top bunks are high and do not leave a great deal of space between mattress and ceiling. A bathroom in each apartment includes a tub/shower, sink and vanity.

Information on cleaning and check-out procedures will be provided upon check-in. There is no wireless Internet provided at Wyview Park.

ADA ACCOMODATIONS

For housing:   If you need to request ADA accommodations for housing, please click on the during the registration process. You only need to complete the first page of the request form. This form must be printed, completed and mailed in to our office no later than March 30, 2012; any requests received after this deadline cannot be guaranteed.

If you would like to make a non-ADA housing accommodation request, a screen will be available in the registration process on the housing page to enter that request. If you have already registered and need to make an accommodation request, you can log back into your registration screens and complete the request on that screen.

Other ADA requests:   If you have other ADA requests, i.e. American Sign Language interpreters, etc. follow the same procedure as above during your registration and complete and mail the form in to our office no later than March 30, 2012; any requests received after this deadline cannot be guaranteed. You must also contact the BYU Accessibility office at 801-422-2767 no later than March 30, 2012 to give them the details of your accessibility request.
