2010 BYU Women’s Conference

Sandra Rogers

Dear Sisters,

I am honored and pleased to welcome you to the 2010 BYU Women’s Conference. This year, our theme is “Choose Ye This Day to Serve the Lord” from Moses 6:33–34. Regardless of the deceptions that are arrayed in front of us, like Enoch and his people, we can see clearly to choose the Lord in each circumstance, large or small. When the things of eternity are on the line, no choice—though some may seem small—for Christ is inconsequential. The reality is that from His matchless willingness to do His Father’s will in the premortal existence, through His incomprehensible sacrifice of suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, to His conquering resurrection, Christ has chosen us. With every perfect and obedient thought and action, Christ has purchased us.

We hope that through your participation in Women’s Conference you will feel a renewed determination to choose Christ in every circumstance and feel His hand lifting you up as you do so. Now with gratitude, faith, and hope may we choose Him. May we choose light and the liberty of Christ. May we choose the pure love of Christ, which is the greatest of all (1 Corinthians 13:13).

I also extend an invitation to you to participate in our wonderful service event Scatter Sunshine on Thursday evening. This combination of fun, practical ideas, and service promises to be a highlight of Women’s Conference. You can find more details about the service event on the Web site.

We look forward to seeing you and extend our warm appreciation for joining us.

Sincerely,

Sandra Rogers, Chair
