Description: The Salt Lake Temple is a sermon in stone that teaches the eternal truths upon which we must build our lives. (Moses 6:63) As it took those early saints 40 years to construct, building carved stone upon stone, so too must we build our lives of dedication to the Lord, step by righteous step. When we come to understand the symbols carved in stone, the ordinances performed within and the scriptures upon which they are founded we recognize the significant effort required of us to dedicate and consecrate our lives to Christ; in essence, to offer "Holiness to the Lord."
