Title: Hand Grain Grinder and Gardening Tools

Exhibitor(s): Don and Marilyn Calder

Description: Don and Marilyn have a great desire to serve others. They have served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Virginia and Adam ondi Ahman, where Don was on-site director. The Calders spent two years as trainers with the BYU Benson Institute, teaching agricultural practices in Mexico and Guatemala. They also volunteered for Care for Life in Mozambique, Africa.

Don has developed simple hand tools for use in grinding grain and gardening that enable people to become more self-reliant. He has provided instructions for making these tools to welfare missionaries and humanitarian groups. The tools are easily made, using materials that are available in local areas.

Attached are instructions for making the grain grinder. Contact Don at caldermc@juno.com for the gardening tool instructions.
