Description: My mother, who had Alzheimer’s disease, lived with us for seven years as her mental state deteriorated. Although I was happy to serve my mother in this way I could not have done it without the help of my family. After starting a daycare center for people who needed supervised care I realized that some people should think twice about becoming caregivers. If you decide that care giving is not for you and your family, there are many other options.
