Registration

The 2008 BYU Women’s Conference will be held on Thursday, May 1, and Friday, May 2  Registration for the 2008 BYU Women’s Conference will open in December.

Women and men age 16 and older may register for the conference  Logistical and safety constraints on campus do not allow us to accommodate nursing infants and young children in any conference session (this includes the Marriott Center, residence halls, and all Thursday evening activities).

There are four easy ways to register:

  • In Person:  weekdays from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. mountain time at the Harman Continuing Education Building lobby
  • On the days of the conference:  at the Marriott Center outdoor ticket booths beginning at 7:30 a.m.

You can now manage all your registrations and information online! Using our online registration system, you can manage your registrations (including withdrawing), address information, mailing list status, and more over the Internet! Please note that a login must be created for each individual in order to register for the program. (Before proceeding to “checkout,” you may add additional registrations for other individuals so that a single charge is made to your bank card.)

Complete the initial one-time setup, and all future registrations for the BYU Women’s Conference (and other BYU Continuing Education programs) can be initiated by simply providing your unique login name and password.

During the one-time setup, you will be asked for the following information:

  • Name
  • Birth date (required to determine minimum age requirements, etc.)
  • Gender (required for program demographics and housing assignments)
  • Mailing address
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address (if available—confirmation will be sent to this e-mail address)
  • Login name (must be at least four characters with no spaces, and must not be all numeric)
  • Password
  • You will be asked to select one of the security questions and provide the answer

After a login is created, you may register for any BYU Continuing Education programs currently available.

*Early registration is recommended to avoid lines on the days of the conference.

Registration, Food, and Housing Fees

Cost $69 (until April 18) $25 (until April 4)

Please note the following:

Online and phone payments must be made by VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

During program registration you will be asked to select a section (full conference registration, or Thursday only or Friday only registration, etc.).  You will then be able to register for any available housing and the Signature Cards.

Signature Cards are available for prepurchase through April 4, 2008.  If you are registered for housing, you will receive your card at housing check-in; if you are not registered for housing, you should receive your card in the mail by Wednesday, April 23.

Campus housing is available for purchase through April 18 (based on availability).  Group housing is available until April 4.

Programs will be mailed to all those on our mailing list at the beginning of March (list includes participants in the 2006 and 2007 conferences).  If you do not receive a program by the end of March, please call our office at (801) 422-7692 and we will mail you a program.  The program will also be available in mid-February on this Web site under the Program link on the left-hand side of this page.

If you register for the conference before April 4 (early registration), your name badge and receipt will be mailed to you.  Online and phone registrations received from April 5 on will be held in Will Call and will need to be picked up.  Name badge holders will be available upon arrival at the conference.

If you registered before April 4 and have not received your conference materials by April 18, please call our office at (801) 422-7692 to verify your registration.

Refunds

Any refund requests made by or before April 4, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. mountain time, can be completed online by logging onto your account and withdrawing from the conference (or options) or by calling our registration office at (801) 422-8925.  No processing fee will be charged for refund requests processed by phone or online on or before April 4.

Payments made by credit card will be credited back to the payer’s account; participants who have paid by check or cash will receive their refund in the mail.

Any refund requests made after April 4, 2008, but before April 18, 2008, must be sent in writing to:

ALL refund requests must be received by April 18, 2008. Any requests received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis after the conference.

Written refund requests must include:

  • Your receipt with name badge attached
  • Written note stating reason for cancellation

Refunds processed after April 4 will be made minus an $8 processing fee (additional $12 fee for campus housing).

Tuition Waivers

A limited number of tuition waivers are available for those who desire to attend the conference but are financially unable to do so. Waivers cover tuition for the two-day conference only and do not cover travel, housing, food, child care, etc. You can request that an application be sent to you by calling (801) 422-7692 or by e-mailing womens_conference@byu.edu. Submission deadline is March 28, 2008. Tuition waiver recipients will be notified by mail after April 4, 2008.
