
Registration Fees
The symposium fee of $94 includes a refreshment break during registration check-in, a box lunch (turkey sandwich, salad, dessert, and drink), and all guest author and illustrator presentations. One-half semester hour of in-service credit (either El Ed 514R or Sc Ed 514R) is available for an additional fee of $30.

Registration for BYU employee/spouse eligible for tuition benefits
BYU Benefits Services will cover the registration fee for eligible individuals as if the participant is taking/auditing a ½-credit winter semester class. If you have questions about your eligibility for tuition benefits, call Benefits Services at (801) 422-4716. You should be able to register over the Internet using tuition benefits, however, if you experience difficulties, please call (801) 422-8925 during regular business hours.

FERPA Policy
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of your educational record. In order to be in compliance with FERPA, we require verification of your identity before releasing any personally identifiable or educational information to you. Please do not ask friends or family members to request this information for you.
Admission and Standards
Participants of any race, color, creed, and ethnic or national origin are accepted for admission to this program provided they maintain the university standards while on campus. These include modesty in dress and conduct and abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, and harmful drugs.
We are committed to providing a learning atmosphere that reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified. At least two weeks prior to the start of the program, applicants with disabilities are invited to discuss the program content and available facilities with the program director by calling (801) 422-2568. If you register over the Internet, you may request accommodation by clicking on the handicap symbol during the registration process.
Substitutions and Cancellations
A $10 fee will be assessed for each refund requested. All refunds must be requested in writing. After the start of the symposium, no refund can be given. Participants may arrange for a substitute at any time without penalty. Participants will receive a full registration refund if the program is canceled for any reason. However, the university cannot be responsible for any cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, travel agencies, or other institutions.
