PREREQUISITES

1. Read the book Beautiful Singing: Mind Warp Moments
2. View the DVD, Beautiful Singing: Not for the Chosen
3. Memorize and prepare to sing (from Sabbath Songs II–Songbook):
   “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty” (page 2)
   “Guide Me to Thee” (page 3)
   “Weepin’ Mary” (page 4)

LOCATION OF CLASSES
Harris Fine Arts Center, BYU

PARKING INFORMATION
Free parking will be available in Lot 49 kitty-corner to the Marriott Center. Workshop participants will not be able to park in the Law School, Museum of Art, or Conference Center lots. Shuttle vans will be available to take you to the Harris Fine Arts Center. Please allow extra time for parking and waiting for the shuttle. The van driver’s cell phone number is (801) 360–1210. It is a 12–15–minute walk from the Conference Center parking lot to the workshop classrooms, if you prefer to go on foot. If you are residing in campus residence halls, you are encouraged to park in the “C” lots surrounding the residence halls.

8:00–9:00 a.m., third-floor lobby, Harris Fine Arts Center
A light breakfast will be served. Classes begin at 9:00 a.m.

BYU STANDARDS
Abstinence from tobacco, coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, and harmful drugs.

Dress: clothing that is modest in fabric, fit, style, and length and hairstyles that are neat and not extreme. Please, no tank tops or sleeveless, strapless, or backless attire. Dresses, skirts, and shorts should be knee length or longer. Jeans are permitted.  Earrings for men are not appropriate. Most participants prefer to dress casually in slacks (including jeans) and comfortable shoes.
