STARTALK is a national, federally funded program designed to expand and improve both student learning and teacher training in strategically important world languages in the U.S.
STARTALK programs are designed to get students to Start Talking these languages. Arabic is one of the most important!

for High School Students
July 15–August 3, 2013
Motivated high school students are invited to participate in a three–week residential camp where Arabic is taught in an immersion environment. Students attend classes and participate in cultural activities, sports and field trips—all in Arabic!
Teacher Training
July 15–20, 2013
The teacher training program at BYU is open to any teachers of Arabic, students studying to become Arabic teachers, and current teachers in the 2013 BYU STARTALK student program. Before applying, please review thoroughly the descriptions of these courses for teachers, found at the link below.
The course will be held on the BYU campus and will be taught by Dr. Muhammad Eissa. College credit will be available. Stipends are available.

The BYU Arabic STARTALK Language Camp is currently accepting applications for staff positions in the 2013 camp. Please review thoroughly both the course descriptions at the link below and the camp dates before applying. We need: instructors, drivers, graders, residential facilitators, cultural assistants, and a videographer.
