Join the BYU Cougars for training you won’t forget! The vast experience and expertise of the entire BYU Track and Field coaching staff make this camp an outstanding event! Receive instruction in your specific event—sprints, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, javelin, hurdles, and middle–distance and long–distance running. (Note: There will not be pole vault instruction at this camp.)
You will develop training guidelines, learn the elements of competitive psychology and imaging, acquire a working knowledge of nutrition and conditioning, and increase your performance through coach feedback.
Whether you’re a beginning runner or an advanced competitor, you will benefit from the detailed training specifics such as correct leg configuration, proper training stance, personal training techniques, specific equipment needs, and professional conditioning training—details that make the ribbon–breaking difference.

Camp Director
Mark Robison is entering his eighth year as the men's head track coach. This is his 23rd year at BYU, where he spent 3 years as a graduate assistant and 12 years as a full–time assistant coach. He will continue the Robison tradition as head coach, being the son of the legendary coach Clarence Robison who coached at BYU for 40 years.

Hurdles: Head coach Craig Poole’s 23 years with BYU women’s track has netted 32 conference awards and over 150 All–American awards. He was the U.S. team national coach for the World Indoor Championships.

Distance Running: In Patrick Shane’s 30 years as BYU’s distance coach, he has received 24 coaching awards and coached 32 All–Americans (89 awards), including Olympian Ed Eyestone. Three of his athletes have won eight individual NCAA district victories.

Jumps: Brigham Young University’s head coach Mark Robison has coached 20 All–American Award recipients. BYU has won 13 of the last 15 conference championships.
Sprinting: This portion of the camp will be coached by All–American Leonard Myles–Mills, winner of back–to–back National Championship titles in the 100 meters.
Throws: National champion and record holder Richard Legas brings over 21 years of international experience to his 11th year at BYU.
Ron Chamberlain, men and women athletes’ sports psychologist, will discuss performance psychology.
