Share the excitement of exceptional aquatic instruction at BYU! Join head coach Tim Powers and associate head coach Stan Crump for five days of training and feedback. You will define your own specific needs as a competitive swimmer, determine personal training guidelines to meet these needs, and then develop individual goals to increase your performance potential throughout the year. To help determine these guidelines, you will receive interval training evaluations and coach critiques specific to your needs.
Throughout the week you will increase your performance potential through the use of drills, workout sets, time trials, competitions, and video sessions. In class, you will discover the theory behind powerful, winning strokes. You will study detailed sequential movements of competitive strokes, learn fundamental competitive techniques, view contemporary training films, and receive valuable feedback from the analysis of personal videotapes. In the pool you will undergo extensive drills, workout sets, and time trials. You will review your personal videotaping in class to give you insight into your training strengths and weaknesses.
Share the excitement of a week at Brigham Young University for one of the best camps in 2009!

Head coach Tim Powers enters his 34th season at BYU as one of collegiate swimming’s elite coaches. Coach Powers’ 225–86 record in dual meets makes him the Mountain West Conference’s most winning active coach. Powers has been named the MWC Coach of the Year six times. He has coached 82 individual conference champions and has also coached participants in the finals of every major competition, including the Olympics. Presently, Powers is serving as past–president of the Swimming Coaches Association of America as well as a member of NCAA Swimming Committee.
Associate head coach Stan Crump has shown that he is one of the most dominant coaches in the Mountain West Conference after capturing the first five consecutive MWC Championships and a second–place finish in 2005 and 2006 as the women’s head coach. His swimmers have also earned individual honors with 16 All–Americans awards and three athletes representing three countries in the Olympic games.
