BYU soccer camps are available for all levels of soccer players, from those just beginning competition, to those who have had a high level of experience (premier club level and ODP). Many campers also attend to showcase their abilities in hopes of someday earning a spot on a BYU soccer team roster. Camps not only will help you to improve your overall knowledge of the game, but also will prove to be a valuable scouting and recruiting tool for the head coaches. All four weeks of camp are structured identically, where participants are grouped together by age, ability, and gender.
Goalkeepers are also welcome and will have keeper training sessions under the direction of BYU goalkeeper coach Brian Jolley. Coach Jolley is currently in his seventh year with the men’s team. Note: If you want to attend as a goalkeeper, please indicate that position in your registration.

Girls’ Soccer Camp Director—Jennifer Rockwood
Now completing her 12th season, head coach Jennifer Rockwood has taken the BYU women’s soccer team to national prominence and established herself as one of the premier coaches in Division I soccer today. Rockwood currently has an impressive 193-61-18 overall record for her career. Over the last twelve seasons, Rockwood has amassed a .742 winning percentage.
In the past 12 years, Rockwood has guided the Cougars to six conference championships. On the national scene, her teams have made 9 appearances in the NCAA Tournament in the last nine years and reached the “Sweet Sixteen” in 1998, 2000, and 2003. The Cougars regularly maintain a consistent top-25 ranking. During Rockwood’s tenure, the team finished in the top 10 three times, including a recent run in the 2003 NCAA College Cup. The tournament ended with BYU finishing No. 5 in the country after making their first “Elite Eight” appearance in the program’s history.
The Lake Oswego, Oregon native was a four-sport athlete in high school playing soccer, softball, basketball and track. After one year at Rick's College on a basketball scholarship, she transferred to BYU where she became a four-year starter at center midfield on the Cougars' club soccer team and graduated in finance, business management.
Boys’ Soccer Camp Director—Chris Watkins
Chris Watkins, who led the Cougars to five national collegiate club championships, returns for his 12th season as head coach of the BYU mens’ soccer team. Watkins was the driving force behind BYU's move from collegiate to semi pro status in 2003.
He also remains as an assistant coach for the BYU womens’ soccer team, which reached the NCAA quarterfinals in 2003. Coach Watkins had impressive credentials when he was hired, both professional and collegiate. From 1992 to 1995, he played for the semi pro Salt Lake City Flamengo. He also played for the Utah Blitzz in 2002. While at Drake University, Watkins set the schools’ single-season scoring record and made the All-Missouri Valley team. Watkins later graduated from BYU.
BYU mens’ soccer has a great reputation nationally and internationally because of Watkins' knowledge of the game, which not only builds great athletes but also quality players on and off the field. Chris and his wife Karen live in Mapleton, Utah with their sons Drake, Ethan and Tanner.
