Under the guidance of BYU men’s lacrosse coach Jason Lamb, you will learn basic principles necessary to be a competitive athlete in women’s lacrosse.
Advanced players will learn the best techniques in shooting, passing, and defending skills. You will also learn advanced team strategy and how to improve your overall stick skills. Intermediate players will develop the essentials of team strategy and individual player techniques as you play against other competitors of the same skill level. Also, you will apply the primary mechanics of lacrosse to your own personal technique. Beginners’ training will focus on the basic skills of lacrosse to help you form a sound base for the future. Goalies will receive special instruction with Coach Lamb to improve technique, speed, and positioning. The advanced goalie instruction will also include clearing techniques and team leadership skills.
During Girls’ Lacrosse Camp, you will take part in thrilling intersquad games. These games will help you gain firsthand experience in team strategies and increase your individual skills. Teams are formed according to participants’ age and skill levels.
