June 30–July 3, 2008
Boys, Ages 7–11
Beginning and Intermediate
9:00 a.m.–Noon

Young lacrosse players can now come and join Coach Jason Lamb for four days of great lacrosse fun. Players at beginning and intermediate levels will learn basic fundamental skills necessary for any young lacrosse player desiring to improve. Our Cub campers will be instructed in basic stick skills combined with offensive and defensive play. All players will enjoy individual attention to help establish proper lacrosse technique at a younger age. The camp will include drills and games centered around developing the tools necessary to be a great young lacrosse player in “the fastest sport on two feet.”

Director
Coach Jason J. Lamb is in his 14th full season as the BYU men’s lacrosse coach, with a 179-61 (.746) coaching record. The Cougar lacrosse team under Coach Lamb has won six RMILL League Championships (1997–1999, 2001, 2005, and 2007). Coach Lamb has guided the BYU men’s lacrosse team to three USLIA National Championships (1997, 2000, and 2007). In the summer of 2002 Coach Lamb was the head coach for the USA West team that won the “Open Division” at the 2002 World Games held in Perth, Australia.

Coach Lamb currently serves as president of the United States Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates Council, directing the progress and growth of college club lacrosse throughout the country. As the past president of the RMILL, Coach Lamb also served as a member of the RMILL Executive Committee for the 2003 season.

PARENTS: For the beginner to the game or for the player with some experience, Cubs Lacrosse Camp will be a great way to help young players incorporate sound fundamental lacrosse skills with a better understanding of team play in lacrosse. Your child will benefit from Coach Lamb’s experience and from the attention of guest coaches and the BYU lacrosse players themselves.
