*this merit badge requires a three month activity which MUST be completed BEFORE the merit badge powwow to sign off on the blue card.

Registration

Registration begins Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday for Scouts in the Utah National Parks Council.
For all other Scouts, Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Thursday.

Registration is $21 per Scout and will be available online (the quickest method) or in person beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wed. Sept. 10 for Scouts in the Utah National Parks Council and at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 for all other Scouts. Registration will continue until Monday, October 20 at 5:00 p.m. (as long as space is available). A “Register Now” button will appear on this page on Sept. 10 at 9:00 a.m. mountain time. Please note that the Scout’s parent or legal guardian must be the one to complete the registration (to create a personal log-in and select security questions for the account).

Note: Some walk-in space will be available on the first day of PowWow. HOWEVER, that space will be very limited; we cannot guarantee every class will have open spaces.

Registration Information

Scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis. We will honor scheduling requests to the best of our ability. Full tuition payment is due upon registration.

Registration is not yet available for the Spring 2014 PowWow.
Check back after September 10!

To register by Internet, click on the registration button that will appear above on September 10. After clicking the “Register Now” button you can login using a Scout‘s Net ID and password, or you can create a Net ID. After logging in you will be guided through the registration process. Please note that when you register for a Scout you should enter his information (but please use a parent‘s e-mail address, as we often communicate about the program by e-mail).

During the registration process, a Scout may register for up to three merit badges. Each merit badge class will have a section letter assigned as well as a time (e.g., Art, Section B, 9:00–10:05 a.m.). All Scouts who register for the same section and time will be in the same class. If one section is full, the Scout can choose another section. Where different sections of the same merit badge are in different classrooms, this will be indicated. A Scout may return to the registration page until 5:00 p.m. Oct. 20 to change his selection to a different section or merit badge, as long as there is still space available.

A confirmation page showing class locations and times will be sent to those who register. Please have your Scout bring this schedule with him each day of the PowWow.

The PowWow has limited enrollment. The registration fee is $21 per Scout even if he registers for only one class. No registrations, refund requests, or class changes can be accepted after 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014.

Admission and Standards

Participants of any race, color, creed, and ethnic or national origin are accepted for admission to this program provided they maintain the university standards while on campus. These include modesty in dress and conduct and abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, and harmful drugs.

We are committed to providing a learning atmosphere that reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified. Prior to registration, applicants with disabilities are invited to discuss the program content and available facilities with the program director.

Refunds

Refunds must be requested from our office by 3:00 p.m. Tuesday October 21, 2014. To request a refund, please call 801-422-8925. After October 21, no refunds will be given. All refunds requested by the refund deadline will be credited to the debit or credit card you used when registering. If you paid by cash or check, the amount will be returned by check to the name and address of the person registered.
