GENERAL INFORMATON

Who May Attend:

The 2012 FACS Nutrition & Food Science Conference is open to men and women who teach secondary education classes. Logistical and safety constraints will not allow us to accommodate nursing infants or young children in any conference sessions.

Location:

The conference will be held on the Brigham Young University campus in Provo, Utah.

Parking:

Nutrition Conference parking will be available in the lots north and northeast of the Marriott Center. Courtesy shuttles will be provided and are available to all conference participants; however, preference will be given to seniors and those with disabilities.

Courtesy shuttles will be running throughout the day during both days of the conference. The shuttles will transport participants from the Marriott Center parking lots to the Wilkinson Student Center and vice versa. Remember that the courtesy shuttles take you to the aforementioned locations, but do not stop at other buildings.

Shuttles will run continuously from 7:00 a.m.–9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. each day. If you need to get to your car while the shuttle is not running, please call, 801-372-1160 to arrange a pick up time.

Parking for participants with disabilities:

If you have a state-issued disability placard or permit, you can park in a special area north of the Marriott Center or in lot 26 south of the law school (next to the visitors’ lot), based on space availability. Check with the officer on duty. Participants who have these placards may also park in any of the state disability parking spaces on campus. If disability spaces are filled in a particular lot, you may hang your placard and park in any of the parking spaces, except in timed lots or spaces designated for deans and service vehicles.

Note: If you park in the lots next to the Wilkinson Center, you will be ticketed.
