Native American Educational Outreach Programs

The Native American Educational Outreach Program's mandate has been to be a strong advocate for Native American progress and personal achievement through education. For over twenty-five years this outreach program has worked closely with Native American communities, educational institutions, and schools in promoting educational opportunities for Native American young people.

Mission Statement: Develop a comprehensive program for Native American students to succeed in high school, get into a college of their choice, and obtain a degree.

Goals and Objectives We Hope to Inspire in our Students:

  • Pursue academic success
  • Develop better study habits
  • Sharpen communication skills
  • Work toward increased personal development
  • Plan and prepare  for college entrance
  • Overcome self-defeating behaviors
  • Develop a winning attitude
  • Understand the value of a high school education
  • See the rewards of good grades and academic and social achievements
  • Learn how to survive the college experience
  • Develop leadership and management skills

Our Plan of Action:

  • Hold on-site motivational workshops with Indian youth in the ninth through twelfth grades.
  • In addition, work with Indian educators, parents, community leaders, and families throughout the nation.
  • Develop a manual with step-by-step instructions and guidelines on how to proceed; steps to take to get accepted to a university, including financial information on scholarships; etc.
