2009 Math Camp

Dates: August 17 – August 21
Time:   9am -4pm
Place: W208 of the Tanner Building (TNRB)

Rationale/Purpose of the course

Students will learn and/or review important math concepts that are prerequisites for coursework in the MPA program. This course serves students whose scores on a department placement test indicates the need for material covered in this course.

Course Objectives or Major Concepts to be studied

Students will gain functional mastery of the following broad topic areas and will create instructional materials to serve as study helps during regular MPA coursework.

  • Basic algebra
  • Geometry
  • Solving and Manipulating Equations
  • Drawing and Interpreting Graphs
  • Functions
  • Application Problems
