An inventive and sizzling Jazz Fusion group, Brijj is a band for the new millennium acknowledging the rich legacies of African American jazz, hip hop, Afro-Cuban guaguanco, funk and Brazilian partido alto, etc. With deep pocket grooves, and elastic harmonic sensibility, and startling telepathy this fantastic band illuminates heretofore uncharted paths turning up fresh results. It features Bob Taylor—trumpet and flugel horn, Jim Stout—bass, Jay Lawrence (voted "Best Drummer in Utah" several times) and Rich Dixon on guitar (voted "Studio Musician of Year" several times over.).
