Families & Work Research Conference

The BYU Family Studies Center in the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University is sponsoring a three-day research conference on Families and Work, March 20–22, 2006, at the Brigham Young University Conference Center . The conference covers a broad range of topics including: Flexible Work Arrangements: Help or Hype?; Effects of maternal shift work on family well-being; “What Gives” When Mothers Are Employed?; The Influence of Fathers’ Work Conditions on Father-Child Relationships; Work-Family Balance; Links between Job Conditions and the Well-Being of Working-Class Parents; Flexibility and Controlling Employment: Does One Necessarily Bring the Other? Family Leave and Workforce Inequality; Marital Relationships and Retirement; Uncertain Futures in Middle-Class Families; Families Reuniting After Work; Maternal Employment and Child Outcomes, and others.
