Instead of our usual banquet, we are departing from tradition to offer an evening of drumming, dancing, singing and story-telling. Voice of Africa will facilitate an interactive cultural experience based on the themes of our conference. The event will conclude with refreshments and conversation. Please join us for a wonderful evening and a lot of fun.
Voice of Africa (VOACA) is composed of a group of BYU and UVU students from various parts of Africa and the world. The group began with two djembe playing brothers who had a desire to use their talents to do some good in the community by engaging and educating Utah County residents and inspiring them to discover more about Africa and how they can help. Currently the group membership has grown to eight performing members dedicated to this cause.
We stand as the advocates of a nation whose voice often goes unheard.
