Sharon received her BA in Dance, and her MA in Dance Pedagogy from Brigham Young University. She has been on the BYU faculty for 20 years, in Ballroom Dance Division, and Director of the BYU Youth Dancesport Program for the past 12 years. Sharon and her husband Curt are former Professional Latin Competitors, as well as Professional Theater Arts, and Cabaret United States Finalists. They were invited twice to compete Professional Cabaret in Blackpool England for the Open British Championships, as well as the Open to the World Professional Cabaret Championships in Slagharen Holland. She is certified with the ISTD, with a licentiate in both Latin and Ballroom Styles. Sharon loves her association with the amazing kids in our youth program and considers it a privilege to work with them!!

Preteen Team (Grades 4–6)

Rehearsal Dates:

Time: 4:15 pm–5:45 pm

Junior Competition Teams (Grades 7–9)

Time: 4:00 pm–6:00 pm

Youth Teams (Grades 10–12)

Rehearsal Dates:
End of August 2013–March 2014

Time: 4:00pm–6:00 pm

*During Winter there will be Saturday practices from 7:00–10:00 a.m. for Youth A & Youth B Teams. This will be in addition to the weekday rehearsals.

• Parent Meeting: 7:00 p.m., May 16, 2013 (BYU Conference Center, Room 2254)
• Summer Dancesport Program: Summer 2013
• Dancesport Team Kick-Off: end of August 2013
• Winter Showcase (All Teams): December 2013
• California Open Competition (Youth A and B Teams): Winter 2014
• National Dancesport Competition (All Teams): Winter 2014

Registration—$25 Audition Acceptance Fee
The $25 Audition Acceptance Fee is non-refundable, but will go towards your total tuition.
