Title: “Master Planned Mondays”
Exhibitor: Allison Parson
Description: Planning family home evenings is made easier by choosing
four gospel topics/themes for the month. Each week of the month is centered on that topic so there is no guessing. This provides a framework for prayerful planning, creates responsibility, plants seeds of habit, reinforces values taught, and helps to teach gospel principles by work and deed. Lessons are adaptable to any family situation and/or needs (i.e., single, couple, young children, or older children).

Family Home Evening Themes:
These are just some ideas of themes or topics you can choose from to create a framework for your Family Home Evenings. After 6 or 12 months, you can rotate to 4 other topics to teach your family. Once the topics/themes are decided, it’s just a matter of deciding how to teach them. It doesn’t need to take a lot of extra time to prepare the lesson or activity – some of the most simple ones are the best. At the same time you will be teaching (and/or showing by example) important gospel principles in a Family Home Evening setting.
