Activity Ideas:
! Parents invite married children and spouses to a monthly temple night with treats after.
$ Parents give their newly married children (and others) a binder with a scripture reading chart of all the standard works. Parents challenge children to continue reading scriptures.
$ Family home evening continues even after the nest begins to empty. Once a month a family member takes a turn hosting the meeting in their home for parents and siblings.
$ Each family member gets their own copy of the conference edition of the Ensign for Sunday study or family home evenings. The family can read, underline, and study the conference talks together.
$ Grandparents take 8-year old grandchildren for a special outing, including getting their picture taken and adding it to the nicely framed “Baptism Board.”
$ Grandparents host a family home evening for all married grandchildren on a regular basis.
$ Framed map including all extended family members’ pictures with a ribbon showing where missions were served.
$ Aunts, uncles, and grandparents host a yearly standards night for older teenage cousins.
