BYU Summer Educator Workshops - For Teachers and Parents of Elemetary and Secondary Students.

Credit Information

Credit, Grades, and Transcripts

To receive BYU credit for these workshops, students should be in good standing with both Brigham Young University and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (if a member).  All students are expected to uphold the university standards while on campus.

Credit hours listed in this brochure refer to semester hours of in-service graduate credit. 514R and 515R courses are designed for licensure purposes only. No graduate degree credit is given for 514R; however, 515R credit may count toward a graduate degree if prior approval is obtained from the participant’s graduate committee.

Grades for workshops with a catalog number of 514R are pass/fail.  Grades for workshops with a catalog number of 515R are a letter grade.

After a participant completes registration and required course assignments, grades will be posted to the university system after August 25, 2008.   If you need documentation before August 25, please e-mail cw348@byu.edu to request a letter.  Please include your full name, address, phone number, and course taken.  Also include the name and address of where the letter will be sent.  Note: If there is any doubt regarding whether a grade has been posted, you may call the BYU Records Office at (801) 422-2631.

If you are registered for credit and do not attend the workshop, transfer into a different workshop, or request a refund, an E will be posted on your transcript indicating a failing grade in the class.
